From accounting to copywriting…
I started my career in the financial services industry as an accountant before transitioning to business process analysis.
As a business analyst at a Fortune 500 company, the bulk of my days were spent documenting * alot * of financial processes and identifying any gaps so they could run more efficiently.
It was a natural progression to copywriting 😆
Let me explain…
I love understanding the ins and outs of a process and the best way to make it better is through data.
With copywriting, you can measure how well the copy is doing. That means you can use the insights from the performance data to figure out where you can make changes to the messaging and identify where the gaps are in a sales funnel.
I love copywriting because it taps into both sides of my personality – creative and analytical.
Random facts about me:
I was born and raised in Kenya but I’ve lived in the U.S. for almost 20 years (where did the time go?!)
My favorite show OF ALL TIME is 24. The one with Kiefer Sutherland? Game of Thrones is a close second but I’ll be honest…I had to watch all season one twice because there are a million and one important character stories to keep up with!
I’m the middle child but the only one who got the tall gene. Ok not freakishly tall but juuuuuuust about touching 6 feet.
